2010 Yalumba Y Series Cabernet Sauvignon

A great entry level Cabernet.
Wines from Yalumba's 'Y' Series are capable of surprising power, texture and intensity that belies their commercial price tag. Here's one of the best sub $10 Cabernets you could hope to find.

Opaque black crimson colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe mulberry, cedar, tobacco leaf and spice. Generously weighted and showing plenty of richness for the price point the palate is filled with ripe dark mulberry and blackcurrant flavours with some underlying subtle cedar followed by tobacco like characters and spice. Excellent length with long dark ripe mulberry, tobacco and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015).
