A blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Shiraz that was matured for 16 months in 30% new oak barrels (26% French Barriques, 4% French Hogsheads) and 12% in one year old French Barriques with the balance being in older French & Hungarian barrels. The 2010 vintage was an excellent one with the grapes achieving full flavour ripeness whilst also retaining good levels of natural acidity resulting in wonderfully aromatic and beautifully balanced varietal wines.

A superb blend that beautifully counterpoints refinement against richness.

Totally opaque black dark purple colour showing excellent density with dark purple black hue. Superb perfumed lift with an aromatic profile of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and blackberry over a background of minty cedar and spice. Full bodied but beautifully balanced and showing a sense of refinement the palate delivers rich mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant, dark mulberry and dark chocolate which overlay some cedar, earth and spice. Dryish finish with solid firmly constructed but very fine grained tannins. Superb depth with long ripe blackcurrant, dark chocolate, cedary tobacco and spice aftertaste.
