2010 Vasse Felix Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

This wine is a blend of Vasse Felix’s best parcels of Sauvignon Blanc (59%) and (41%) Semillon fruit, a portion of which (18%) is fermented in new French oak barriques in order to provide the wine with additional complexity and texture.

Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with watery hue. The nose displays intense aromas of herbaceous grassy gooseberry, citrus and some green passionfruit with a spice end note. Mouthfilling flavours of gooseberry and grassy herbaceous characters followed by citrus, mineral and a touch of pencil shavings on the back palate. Clean crisp dry finish displaying excellent length and a long aftertaste of herbaceous grassy gooseberry, citrus and mineral.
