Tscharke has dropped the Graciano from the 2010 cuvee, producing a more savoury, Rioja inspired wine. We have seen the emergence of several top quality Aussie Tempranillos over the last few vintages with the Barossa Valley at the forefront. Fruit for the Tscharke wine was sourced from the premium Marananga and Seppeltsfield sub districts, basket pressed and matured for 15 months in new Hungarian and seasoned French oak.
Opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift
with scents of dark cherry, dark chocolate, cedar, spice and a touch of new leather. Full bodied and possessing tremendous richness the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of black cherry, dark chocolate, cedar and spice. Dry finish with fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of black cherry, leather and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
Alc 14.5%
