This vineyard was planted with cuttings from one of the old Run Rig vineyards. The Shiraz is crushed on top of the Viognier from the same vineyard, which has been lightly pressed for blending with the Run Rig. The blend of fruit (92% Shiraz & 8% Viognier) is then co-fermented and matured for 18 months in 2 ½ year old French barrels that had been previously used for RunRig.

Magnificent colour saturation displaying an inky midnight black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose exhibits rich alluring scents of dark plum, liquorice allsorts, dark chocolate and ripe blackberry followed by some subtle vanillin cedar and very subtle spicy dried apricot. Abundantly rich the palate has a sumptuous silky mouthfeel and is packed with voluptuous fruit flavours of black plum, liquorice, blackberry and black cherry followed by some dark chocolate and spicy subtlety toasted oak. Velvet smooth tannins. Outstanding length with long aftertaste of black plum, liquorice, black cherry, dark chocolate and spicy toasted oak.
