2010 Thorn Clarke Sandpiper Merlot

Opaque black dark purple colour with deep dark purple hue. The nose exhibits aromas of ripe dark plum, mulberry, some light cedar and spice. The palate possesses excellent weight and is filled with plenty of fully ripened fleshy Merlot fruit. Generous flavours of dark plum and ripe blackcurrant followed by a spicy back palate. Soft velvet like tannins. Good length with long ripe plum, blackcurrant and spice aftertaste. A very well made rich plump Merlot.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
