2010 The Bryson Barrel Select

A blend of 60% Shiraz and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon matured in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak for 18 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Nosing offers up ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas mixed in with hints of choc mint over a back drop of vanillin cedar and spice. Medium bodied with a soft fleshy mouthfeel the palate has flavours of blackcurrant, blackberries and subtle liquorice followed by earthy vanillin cedar and spice. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, liquorice, vanillin cedar, earth and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
