2010 The Bruiser Durif

An impressive Durif that while not as stupendous as the Warrabillas, delivers as much flavour as you could ask for $20.
Outstanding saturated inky black purple colour with very deep black dark purple hue. The nose presents itself with intense aromas of morello cherry and liquorice as top notes followed by some black plum, underlying cedar and spice end notes. Densely concentrated the palate delivers rich mouthfilling flavours of ripe morello cherry, black plum and liquorice with a spicy dryish finish. Firm solid tannin structure gives the wine a chewy mouthfeel with long liquorice, black plum, morello cherry and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2017-2018).
