Totally opaque black crimson red colour with deep black crimson hue. The nose shows lifted scents of ripe blackcurrant and liquorice followed by some cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate delivers a rich mouthfilling flavour profile of ripe blackcurrant and spicy liquorice followed by some underlying cedar with the spiciness persisting through to the back palate. Good power and structure. Solid but very fine grained tannins. Excellent depth with long ripe blackcurrant, spicy liquorice and cedar aftertaste.
