The fruit for this wine was sourced from various blocks with vines aged between 11 to 21 years old. Maturation took place in French oak of which 15% was new. Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with light brick red hue. The nose displays aromas of dark cherries, plums, cedary toasted oak and spice. Light to medium weight the palate has flavours of ripe dark cherries and plum supported by some cedary characters and a touch of spice. Quite generous with very fine grained velvet like tannins. Good depth with medium to long aftertaste of dark cherries, plum and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
