2010 Stonier Chardonnay

Most of the juice for this wine was fermented in French oak barriques followed by maturation for another 9 months in the same barriques. The remaining juice was fermented in tank to give the wine some additional freshness. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinge around the edges and watery hue.
The nose displays good intensity and complexity with aromas of white peach, nougat and cashew emanating from the glass followed by some honeycomb and light spice end notes. Creamy palate texture with mouthfilling flavours of white peach, honeycomb, cashew and spice followed by some lingering nougat characters on the back palate. Dry finish with medium to long aftertaste of white peach, nougat and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015).
