Matured in a combination of new to 4 year old Troncais French oak barriques for 12 months.Semi translucent dark red colour with dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of dark cherries, dried meat, anise, cedar and spice. Medium weight the palate possesses plenty of rich ripe fruit with flavours of dark cherry, spicy toasted oak and some dried meat characters. Good power wave with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherry, toasty oak and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015).
