2010 Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay

Matured in new to 4 year old Vosges French oak barriques for 12 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and watery hue. The nose displays aromas of peach followed by some cashew and subtle spicy oak. Medium to full bodied the palate displays impressive richness with flavours of nectarine, a touch of citrus, toasty oak and nougat. Dry finish with a creamy like texture. Medium to long aftertaste of nectarine, spicy cashew and nougat.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
