2010 Schubert Estate Goose-Yard Block Shiraz

Matured for 22 months in oak this wine displays a totally opaque inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Very perfumed the nose exudes scents of black plums and liquorice over some dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. The palate features marvellous richness and opulence being filled with voluptuously textured flavours of black plums, blackcurrants and liquorice over some toasty vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Silky smooth tannins with a soft plush mouthfeel. Excellent depth with very long black plum, blackberry, liquorice, vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
