2010 Schild Estate Wines Merlot

Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark brick red hue. The nose opens with stewed plum top notes followed by some cedary tobacco and spice. Full bodied the palate has flavours of ripe black plum, a touch of liquorice, cedary tobacco and spice. Dryish finish with soft fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of black plum, tobacco leaf and spice. The dried tobacco leaf is too prominent on the finish.
