Totally opaque inky black crimson colour with deep black crimson red hue. Nosing reveals intense ripe blackcurrant and dark plum aromas followed by a hint of liquorice and some toasty cedar and spice. Rich and full bodied the palate flavours are quite ripe and generously textured with ripe blackcurrant and dark plum and liquorice followed by some underlying cedar and spice. The layers of rich fruit concealing the relatively muscular tannin structure. Long blackcurrant, liquorice, cedary tobacco and spice aftertaste.
