2010 Penfolds Bin 138 Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre

Showing excellent depth for a Grenache based blend this wine displays an opaque black dark purple red colour with a deep black dark purple hue. The nose exhibits dark raspberry, blackberry and liquorice aromas followed by some confectionary and light spice notes. Full bodied, rich and quite opulent the palate delivers a luscious flavour profile of black raspberry, blackberry and liquorice with a spicy back palate. Very fine grained, slightly dryish but perfectly balanced tannin structure. Long joosy aftertaste of dark raspberry, liquorice, confectionary and spice. A top example of the blend.
