O'Leary Walker Wines was established in 2001 by David O'Leary and Nick Walker. These two long time friends already had long, illustrious winemaking careers with big companies, but both were looking to take control of their own destiny and craft small batches of wine from great vineyard sites. This wine brings together two of Australia's top Shiraz districts, being made from 70% Clare Valley fruit and 30% McLaren Vale fruit. The wine was matured entirely in French oak (25% new and 75% seasoned oak) for a total of 2 years.

Another great value Shiraz from this talented pair.

A generously layered Shiraz combining the qualities of two of Australia’s best Shiraz producing regions. Totally opaque black crimson red colour with deep black crimson red hue. The nose possesses plenty of upfront lift with aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum followed by some liquorice allsorts and spice. Full bodied the palate is packed with generous layers of fruit. Ripe blackberry and liquorice are followed by some dark plum, underlying toast and blackpepper. Velvet smooth tannins with texture bordering on voluptuous. Long blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2016-2017).
Alc 14.5%
