Brilliant very pale straw colour with watery hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with top notes of lime, orange rind and lemon followed by some mineral with a hint of talc also present. The palate exhibits excellent concentration with mouthfilling flavours of lime and citrus followed by some orange rind and spice. Clean crisp finish with long aftertaste of lime, citrus and talc.
Drink now or cellar 4-5 years (2010-2015).
Alc 12.5%

Other Reviews…. The grapes come from Martin and Joan Smith’s vineyard on Blue Cutting Road (a story in itself), the bony, slately soil enhancing the bouquet in a fashion unique to Polish Hill River. Pale, bright green straw, the wine has a very potent and complex bouquet with a mix of slate, blossom and bathpowder aromas, the palate adding a subliminal touch of pepper reminiscent of grüner veltliner. Screwcap.
