2010 Moss Wood Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir

An outstanding Mornington Pinot that exudes richness and power.
Moss Wood’s Victorian outpost displays a semi translucent dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose offers up perfumed scents of dark cherries intermixed with some violets followed by a touch of anise, lightly toasted cedar and spice. Medium weight the palate possesses plenty of richness along with power delivering mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plums followed by some underlying toasty cedar, dried meat characters and spice. Slightly dryish finish with velvety tannin structure. Long ripe dark cherry, dark plum, meaty cedar and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years (2013-2018).
