2010 Moss Wood Chardonnay

Bright deep straw pale gold colour with pale straw hue. The nose exhibits lifted scents of cashew intermixed with some peach, light honeycomb, nougat and spice. Excellent concentration with mouthfilling flavours of cashew infused with delicate white peach followed by some roasted characters and light nougat with some hazelnut and spice on the back palate. Clean dry finish. Excellent richness, depth and mouthfeel. Long aftertaste of cashew, roasted almonds, hazelnut and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Full yellow-green; the rich and complex bouquet presages an intense, complex palate with strong barrel ferment inputs to the white peach, melon, fig and cashew flavours; a tight strand of acidity stops any possibility of the palate wandering off on a frolic of its own. Drink by 2018.
