2010 Mermerus Pinot Noir

Matured for 12 months in French oak barriques. Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with light brick red hue. Aromas of dark cherry and dark plum are overlaid by some toasty oak, a hint of anise and spice. Light to medium weight and with quite good richness the palate has flavours of ripe dark cherries and strawberries with some underlying meaty cedar and spice. Soft very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of ripe dark cherry, dark strawberry and spicy earthy cedar.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
