2010 Maxwell Little Demon Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Super Value.
A terrific blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, for unknown reasons, dedicated to a thought experiment proposed by Scottish scientist James Clerk Maxwell. Matured in French oak for 16 months. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose offers up mulberry infused blackcurrant top notes followed by some cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses generous ripe blackcurrant and dark mulberry flavours with some underlying cedar, dried herbs and spice. Slightly dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Good depth for price point with medium to long blackcurrant, mulberry and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2012-2016)
