2010 Longview Yakka Shiraz

Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. Showing good intensity the nose opens with liquorice, blackpepper and ripe blackberry aromas followed by some subtle smoky oak and confectionary. Full bodied, generous liquorice and blackpepper flavours dominate over some smoky meat characters and confectionary with the peppery component persisting right through to the finish. Very fine grained but solidly built tannins with long blackpepper, liquorice, smoked meats and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
