- Cellar Drink Now - 4 years (2011-2015)
- ABV 14%
- Closure: Screw Cap
This is the first time a Cabernet has been produced under the Longhop label with the fruit being sourced predominately from the 50 year old Evanston Gardens vineyard. Opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe mulberry, blackcurrant and some tobacco cedar like characters followed by a spicy end note. Ripe, youthful and generous the palate delivers flavours of ripe mulberry, tobacco, cedar and spice. Very fine grained soft tannins. Good length with aftertaste of ripe mulberry, cedar and tobacco.
Drink over the next 3-4 years, although it’s quite approachable now for such a young Cabernet (2011-2015)
