Matured in French oak for 20 months. Totally opaque black purple colour with deep dark purple red hue. The nose is a touch closed at present revealing a youthful aromatic profile of dark plum, blackberry, some inky liquorice characters and spice. The palate is slightly more forthcoming than the nose revealing good richness whilst still being tightly packaged. Flavours of blackberry, liquorice, vanillin spice and blackpepper. Dryish, slightly firm tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, vanillin spice and blackpepper.
