This Tamar Valley Pinot Noir was de-stemmed and cold soaked for 6 days with maturation taking place in French oak for 8 months of which 30% was new. Semi translucent bright crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose is dominated by primary aromas of dark cherry and plum followed by a touch of anise and some spicy cedar. Light to medium weight the palate is generously flavoured and possesses good persistence with dark cherry and plum flavours followed by some spicy cedar. Slightly dryish but fine grained tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of dark cherry, plum and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
