Kelvedon was a wool sheep and cattle property with some cropping. In 1998 the family diversified into viticulture and they seem to have harnessed the fickle nature of Pinot early. Although 2010 was both slightly warmer and slightly earlier than average, the lack of temperature spikes and a moderate yield resulted in gentle, even ripening and quality fruit.

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with light dark red hue. The nose exhibits top notes of dark cherry and some gamey meat like characters followed by some cedar and spice. Medium bodied the palate possesses superb richness and an excellent power wave with mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries, dark plum, some gamey cedar and a spicy back palate. Fine grained velvety like tannins. Long ripe dark cherry, dark plum and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2016-2017).
Alc 13.8%
