Henriet-Bazin origins date back 5 generations to two families both deeply rooted in Champagne. The Bazin family were grape growers from the village of Verzenay whilst the Henriet family specialised in Champagne production. It was in the late 19th century that the two families united through marriage and today a father and daughter team are producing a range of outstanding champagnes from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. The family own 3 hectares in Verzenay and Verzy (both Grand Cru villages) renowned for its Pinot Noir that’s so highly sought after by the likes of top Champagne houses such as Krug.

A superb Grand Cru Champagne at a direct import price that makes it an absolute steal.

A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay that pours with a frothy white mousse that sits over a straw pale gold base. An exceptionally fine bead flows through the wine with great persistence. Complex and powerful, aromatics of baked bread, yeast lees, toast and dried honey evolve into cashew, citrus and a faint whiff of hazelnut. Rich, toasty and expansive yet sculptured with fresh acidity, mouthfilling flavours of yeast lees, oily toast and citrus overlay honeyed cashew characters and traces of hazelnut. Creamy mid palate feel finishing dry and crisp with superb length on the aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
