2010 Hastwell & Lightfoot Scarce Earth Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red black hue. The nose offers up scents of liquorice and dark plum overlaid by some strong toasty oak with spice end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate has flavours of ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice which are overridden by prominent charry oak. Fine grained tannins. The charry oak swamping the finish and aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
