2010 Gioiello Estate Reserve Merlot

Very deep dark red black colour with a very dark red hue. The nose displays lifted ripe blackcurrant top notes intermixed with dark cherries and cedary overtones followed by subtle earthy tobacco notes and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses rich dark blackcurrant flavours overlaid by cedar, tobacco, faint earthy leather, black olive and spice. Solidily built but fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe dark blackcurrants, cedary tobacco, black olive, leather and spicy earth.
A big generous Merlot.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
