2010 Gioiello Estate Old Hill Chardonnay

Matured in French oak barriques for 12 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. The nose features peach and ripe nectarine aromas intermixed with lemon butter and a hint of bees wax followed by some toasty spice characters. The palate opens up light and fresh but has an underlying waxy oily like character. Flavours of lemon butter, peaches, bees wax, toast and faint spice. Clean dry finish. Aftertaste of lemon butter, bees wax, toast and faint spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
