2010 First Drop Mother's Milk Shiraz

Matured for 15 months in 95% older French oak hogsheads and 5% new American oak barriques. Opaque inky black colour with very deep black dark crimson red hue. Nosing reveals scents of liquorice, blackberry and confectionary along with some blackpepper end notes. Full bodied the palate possesses generous flavours of liquorice, blackberry, vanillin confectionary and spice. Fine grained almost velvet like tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, confectionary and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2016-2017).
