2010 Exemplar McLaren Vale Shiraz

Magnificent colour saturation with an inky black glass staining core and very deep dark red black hue. Aromas of liquorice and dark chocolate are overlaid by a good dose of vanillin oak with following blackberry, mocha and spice. Decadently rich and opulent the palate is awash with liquorice, ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and vanillin oak flavours over some mocha and spice. Firmish tannins yet velvet like in appearance beneath the wealth of fruit. Finishes long with a ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
