2010 Ellis Wines Premium Heathcote Shiraz

Aged for 14 months in new and one year old American oak barriques. Opaque black dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. Aromas of ripe plum and liquorice allsorts are to the fore followed by some vanillin confectionary and a touch of mint. Full bodied the palate is rich and fleshy with generous flavours of aniseed, blackberry, vanillin confectionary, mint and spice. Fine grained, slightly dryish tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of aniseed, vanillin confectionary and minty cedar.
Cellar 3-4 years.
