Matured for 2 years in a mixture of American and French oak puncheons. Opaque black dark red colour with deep very dark red hue. The nose offers up aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark mulberry and a hint of liquorice over a background of cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate is filled with ripe dark blackcurrant flavours followed by some liquorice, chocolate, cedar and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with long aftertaste of ripe dark blackcurrant, liquorice, cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2016-2017).

Other Reviews....
Excellent colour; fragrant cassis and redcurrant aromas lead into a juicy palate with pristine varietal flavours framed by quality oak and ripe, soft but persistent, tannins; the balance shouldn't deceive you - it will happily see out 20 years. Drink by 2030.
