The Edmond Cornu et Fils Estate is located in the village of Ladoix, in the Côte de Beaune vineyards on the Corton hillside. Domaine Cornu owns 4 different parcels, les Grandes Terres, Barrigard, Gremelle and Sous Buisson. Average age of the vines is 30 years old.
Semi translucent dark red black tinged colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose shows good aromatics featuring scents of dark cherries, violets, cedar, dried meats and a hint of lavender. Relatively light in weight the palate the palate has soft elegantly textured flavours of ripe dark cherries, subtle strawberries, cedar, earthiness and spice. Dry finish with very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Medium to long dark cherry, earthy cedar and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
