2010 Dog Ridge The Pup Cabernet Merlot

A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red black hue. On the nose ripe blackcurrant scents are to the fore followed by some black plum and liquorice, subtle cedar and spice. Full bodied and quite fleshy with very ripe blackcurrant flavours dominate over some dark plum, cedar and spice. Very fine grained velvety tannins with medium to long ripe blackcurrant, dark plum and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
