According to the history books, the Costanti family has been producing wine in Montalcino since the 16th century.

Very deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Beautifully scented nose with aromas of ripe dark cherries intermixed with some violets and subtle dark plum are overlaid by complexing notes of earth, cedar, faint tobacco and spice. Medium weight the palate has superb richness and a delicious savouriness that makes it very moreish. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries intertwine themselves with nuances of cedar, tobacco, earth, new leather and spice. Fantastic power and length finishing dry with slightly chewy tannins providing the structure. Very long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, leather, earthy cedar, tobacco and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.

Other Reviews….
Costanti's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is stunning. Dark, powerful and mysterious in the glass, the 2010 captivates all the senses with its breathtaking beauty and layered, multi-dimensional personality. Lavender, violets, savory herbs, smoke, plums and graphite flow through to the rich, explosive finish. There is a prism-like sense of transparency allied to pure power in the 2010 that is impossible miss. Readers who can find the 2010 should not hesitate; it is a must-have. While many 2010s are approachable today, the Costanti's 2010 is not; it is a wine for the cellar. Drinking window 2018-2035.
