2010 Conde Valdemar Reserva

A blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazvelo aged for 26 months in 70% American and 30% French oak barrels. Totally opaque black dark red core showing excellent depth with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced aromatics of ripe black cherries and liquorice overlaid by old leather drift from the glass. Also evident is some scorched earth, old leather and spice. Medium to full bodied palate with flavours of black cherries, liquorice and old leather prevalent over a scorched earth back drop that also has some spice. Dry earthy finish with very smooth tannins. Aftertaste of earthy black cherries, liquorice, old leather, toasty oak and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
