2010 Clarendon Hills Moritz Syrah

Superb colour with an impenetrable inky black core and a very deep dark purple black hue. Perfumed aromas of liquorice and blackberry arise from the glass over a background of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar, some light meatiness and spice. Full bodied the palate features abundant richness along with a muscular stature. Mouthfilling flavours of black cherries, ink, blackberries, liquorice and dark chocolate flood the palate with some spicy vanillin cedar and meatiness on the back palate. Robust chewy tannins provide the structure. Excellent depth and concentration with a long chewy aftertaste of inky blackberries, dark chocolate, liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar.
