2010 Chocolate Box Shiraz

Matured for 2 years in a combination of French and American oak barrels. Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson black hue. The nose offers up scents of liquorice and blackberry over some vanillin confectionary and blackpepper. Richly flavoured yet showing surprising refinement and structure despite the lofty 15% alcohol. Liquorice and blackberry flavours are followed by some subtle vanillin confectionary and blackpepper. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained, yet assertive enough tannin structure to provide an excellent framework. Long liquorice, blackberry, light vanillin oak and blackpepper aftertaste.
