2010 Chocolate Box Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre

Produced from a blend of 41% Grenache, 37% Shiraz and 22% Mataro that was matured for 30 months in seasoned French oak barrels. Opaque black dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose shows excellent intensity with lifted liquorice, dark chocolate and black raspberry aromas followed by some spice. Full and rich the palate packs an abundance of voluptuous fruit flavours. Liquorice and ripe dark raspberry overlay some dark chocolate and vanillin oak with some spice present on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins with long liquorice, dark raspberry, dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
