2010 Chateau de Montfaucon Cotes du Rhone

Produced from a blend of 50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Cinsault and 15% Carignan. Opaque black dark purple colour with dark purple hue. Lifted black raspberry scents arise from the glass followed by some black cherry, liquorice, earth and dried meats. The palate boasts impressive weight, richness and concentration which are well counter pointed by a chewy mouthfeel. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe black raspberry and black cherries are followed by some liquorice, meaty characters and spice. Solid chewy tannin structure with long black raspberry, liquorice, dried meats and spice aftertaste.
