Nicolas Catena has been instrumental in Argentina’s progress over the last three decades in bringing the country's wine industry into line with world class standards. What you can now get for your money in the present day climate are seriously good expressions of the nation's signature varietal, Malbec, that rival many Australian reds for punch and price.

Outstanding opaque black crimson colour with deep black crimson hue. The nose exhibits scents of dark cherries and liquorice followed by some cedar, earth and spice. Full bodied the palate is bursting with rich ripe dark cherry flavours followed by a touch of liquorice and cedary tobacco with some earthy spice on the back palate. Slightly dryish but very fine grained well constructed tannins. Excellent depth with long ripe dark cherry, liquorice, earthy cedar, tobacco and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2015-2016).
Alc 13.5%
