2010 Cape Mentelle Zinfandel

Sourced from 36 year old Zinfandel vines this wine displays an opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose offers up aromas of liquorice, black cherry, some vanillin confectionary and blackpepper. Medium to full bodied the palate delivers flavours of liquorice intermixed with red cherry and plum followed by some spicy vanilla and blackpepper. Fine grained slightly dryish tannins. Long liquorice, spicy vanilla and blackpepper aftertaste.
