2010 Brothers in Arms Shiraz

This beautifully aged Langhorne Creek Shiraz was matured for 20 months in French oak barriques of which 67% were new. Totally opaque black core with a very dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aniseed and liquorice aromas dominate the nose with ripe dark plum, hints of mocha, vanillin oak and spice sitting beneath. Rich with a silky, cashmere like feel in the mouth the palate dishes up delicious liquorice and dark plum flavours underpinned by spicy vanillin oak, light earth and mocha. Velvety, very polished tannins. Superb power and depth with a long liquorice, dark plum, vanillin oak, faint earth and spicy mocha aftertaste. Primed for drinking now but will also hold a few more years.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
