2010 Balnaves of Coonawarra The Blend

The blend is comprised of 53% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Opaque dark crimson red colour with deep crimson red hue. Perfumed scents of blackcurrant intermixed with spearmint are followed by some cedar and spice. Elegant and medium bodied the palate delivers flavours of blackcurrant and dark mulberry with a spearmint overlay followed by some spicy cedar on the back palate. Dryish but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spearmint infused blackcurrant, cedar and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
