2009 Valli Bannockburn Vineyard Pinot Noir

Semi translucent deep dark crimson red colour with crimson red mauve hue. Superb perfumed nose with scents of violets, dark cherry, anise and gamey cedar leaping out of the glass followed by some spice end notes. Medium bodied the palate is generously weighted and flavoured with ripe dark cherry and anise followed by some meaty characters and a spicy back palate. Fine grained tannin structure. Good power wave with long spicy dark cherry, anise and dried meat aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2016-2017).
