2009 Two Paddocks Pinot Noir

Two Paddocks is the project of Hollywood movie star Sam Neil. The wine is sourced from Two Paddocks three vineyards – Gibbston, Alexandra, and Redbank at Earnscleugh, with maturation taking place in small French oak barrels (25% new) for a period of 11 months.

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose is very perfumed with aromas of dark cherry and dark plum emanating from the glass followed by some meaty characters, anise, cedar and spice. Medium bodied the palate possesses a supple soft mouthfeel and an expansive rich generous fruit profile. Mouthfilling flavours of dark cherry and dark plum dominate followed by some anise, meaty earth, cedar and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power wave with long persistent dark cherry, dark plum, meaty cedar and spice aftertaste.
